(As told by Pat Daly) We printed "invitations" to our Zumba Parties and distributed to family and friends.  We also sent e-mail invitations.  And then we hit the pavement... hand delivered invitations to local salons, restaurants, business offices, schools, etc.  We also asked if we could display posters in businesses... only one person declined.

We then got decorations for the club including metallic red fringe for the top of the mirrors, brightly colored Mardi Gras beads, fresh fruit and bottled water, table decorations.  The night of the first event, we had a snow storm!!  We were so worried, but people just started pouring in.  The club owners were ready... they had a "doorman" opening the door for everyone entering the building (yes, he stood outside in the blizzard!), another young man taking coats and hanging them and we had two check in spots for people to sign waivers.  We had some great Latin music already playing, when they entered.  Both Sarah and I are Mexican so there's no shortage of music between the two of us.  We grew up dancing!

By the time we were ready to begin the Zumba class there were about 75 people in the room! The energy was through the roof!!  They whooped and hollered and laughed and we had a GREAT time.  Both parties were huge successes... the second one we had almost as many people.
